Words of Support for our Campaign

“Labour has always supported an education system that respects and provides diversity of choice for parents and their children. That is why I am happy to lend my full support to the campaign for an Educate Together school in Sandyford/Ballinteer. I look forward to working with the South Dublin Educate Together Start-Up Group and ultimately seeing their plans come to fruition.”

"The Educate Together concept sits well with Green Party policy and its ethos is something of which we have been fully supportive since the beginning.

I am delighted that the pre-enrolment day this weekend garnered such interest and that the parents of Ballinteer and Sandyford are clearly on board.  Not only do we need more school places in the area, but we also need more choice in the type of education our children receive. Establishing an Educate Together school in the locality can only enhance the area and would be a truly positive development for Dublin South as a whole.

I look forward to working with the parents of South Dublin Educate Together Start-up group to help develop this project.

"I wish to offer my full support for the Dublin South Educate Together startup group. Both the initiative and the work involved in getting such a project up and running is no small task and I am positive that a multi-demoninational  educational institution of the type envisaged by Educate Together will provide many positive benefits to both parents and children of the Sandyford/Ballinteer community."

"I'm delighted to support the parents of the area seeking an Educate
Together School. Increasingly, parents are seeking greater choice in
selecting a school for their child and are also looking for enhanced
involvement in school management. The Educate Together concept reflects the
growing demand for more democratic school structures"

“I support the campaign by the Sandyford/Ballinteer Action Group to establish a new Educate Together Primary School in South Dublin. It’s very important that parents have the greatest possible choice regarding the education of their children.”

“It is encouraging to see a group of parents come together and support an educational institution which removes any racial or religious boundaries. In my opinion, this type of school would remove any segregation and allow children to see their classmates simply as people.”

"I am delighted to support the South Dublin Educate Together Start-up group in their worthwhile endeavours. Our area is desperately short of school provision and an Educate Together School would give parents much needed choice. I look forward to continuing to work alongside the group to bring Educate Together to our area."
